Silver Immigrants

Retro footage put out by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources in the early 70's. This is true "back in the day" footage. With the recent collapse of the Salmon fishery in Lake Huron and talk of it's ultimate demise in the Great Lakes this video couldn't have surfaced at more suitable time. Have we run full circle?

That's a great video! I love the scene where all those dudes are snagging from the rail tressel, scatter to avoid the train and then run back to their spots - priceless!!

You are spending too much time on Vimeo and Youtube - I think you need to go fishing..........

I know dude...Problem is there is this thing called "Work" that gets in the way. Friggin day jobs suck A$$ as I have to burn valuable vacation to fish. Not the end of the world but ya really have to weigh your options when picking days. I'm now out for tomorrow and will most likely head somewhere next Friday. Should time out better anyways.
I love these nostalgic films. We have come a long way. One thing that hasn't changed are the amount of peeps on the rivers!
