In the blink of an eye

2009
What can I say? In the blink of ones eye the year slipped through our hands. Time managed to pull a fast one on me and I feel as though this years season was almost over before it began. For the most part there is some truth to that remark for I got a very late start this year. Mostly due to work commitments and mediocre to non-existent river conditions. I have no regrets. The time I did get to spend on the water was quality time. Time spent in heavenly places with company more deserving of the likes of me. For these reasons alone I harbour no regrets. We once again managed to catch more fish than we deserve and spend quality time back in the Shire. 2009 was short lived but will always be remembered.
A special thanks to Norland...a man, a scholar, a friend, and a POS. Thanks for being there brother.

A Happy New Year to each and everyone of my fishing nerd friends. Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for future exciting 2010 adventures.

I leave you all with this photo essay of the 09 Fall/Winter Season. Enjoy...

Man...
Why does water have to freeze???
I will miss the river .. I always do.
My favourite trip with you this season has to be the 'jig' day.
That first Jig fish for me will end up on the wall as soon as the cash situation loosens up.
My favourite fish of the year for me anyway was the Hen out of the "Mitchell Run"....she was a hotty and her sexiness will haunt that poor deformed heroic Buck all winter as I am sure he will no chance with her...
Good times!
Thx for putting up with me.
Next year you 'are' fishing in October....

You know what? The Jig day was my favourite day this season also. We turned a potential disaster into another stellar day. We both caught alot of fish but you seemed to really put it together near the end of the day. It was nice to watch you "beat em up" in the Mitchell Run. POS! ;0)
Another memory from the jig day was that little chromer I hit at the Eagle run that went insane and ran straight to that stump and started to jump into it repeatedly. That little guy was on Meth! I could have sworn he was 10lbs. LOL! Lots of those 1-1.5lbers this year...nice to see and always entertaining.
The racoon was also a bonus that day! Jigs...they can catch anything! ;0)
My favourite fish this season would have been one of the two Monster Chrome Hens you blew up at the T-run. Honestly...You are Friggin Useless! ;0)
All kidding aside (i'm not kidding) my favourite fish has to be a tie between the two giant chromers I tangled with up at the T_run. Those fish were mint. I have no idea how I ever put them on the beach.
Looking forward to many more years of it dude!
Stuhan better be prepared for another crazy day on the MO this winter. I can't wait for that act...

Shame about the freeze-up, as this time of year usually sees a lot of 3-4 year old fish, but there is always March. I had some great days on the river as well, the most noteworthy was probably in early December with Dave, great numbers of fish, especially for him.

See you on the big river after the first ice-out.

All of the best in 2010.

Yeah...me too..
I am kind of anxious about my recert only because if I blow the 24 metre shot I will have to go away again for a remedial session with the ponies...and that will cut into my fishing time...
THAT!... we cannot have..
If it becomes too much of a pain I will just hand it back to them and become a janitor ..

I spent a significant amount of time in the bathroom today due to some caustic New Years Eve chicken wings....very nasty....
I did think of you ...however it is difficult to impossible to masterbate whilst one is striken with the scoots...
